The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed a pilot project for the provision of the state service "Formation and adjustment of individual identification numbers for foreigners and stateless persons temporarily residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan," reports Kazpravda.kz citing the Telegram channel “PARAGRAPH”
The aim of the project is to create favorable conditions and opportunities for non-residents of Kazakhstan to obtain an IIN without the need to visit the territory of Kazakhstan.
The service will be provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan through diplomatic missions (consulates and representations) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
To obtain an IIN, a foreign citizen must personally visit a diplomatic mission of Kazakhstan or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and present a specific list of documents.
The service will be provided within one working day.
If approved, the pilot project will be in effect until December 31, 2025.
The project is open for public discussion until February 6, 2025.
