In November 2024, a total of 168.3 thousand vehicles were registered, which is an increase of 7.9% compared to the same period last year, reports Kazpravda.kz citing the National Statistics Bureau.
The number of passenger cars rose by 5.2%, commercial vehicles by 31%, while the number of buses decreased by 14.4%.
As of December 1, 2024, the total number of registered vehicles in Kazakhstan exceeded 5.5 million units. Of these, 88% are passenger cars, 9.9% are commercial vehicles, and 2.1% are buses.
The number of new passenger cars registered for the first time amounted to 31,149 units.
The highest number of new passenger cars was registered in the following cities and regions: Almaty – 6,351 units, Astana – 4,300 units, Shymkent – 3,416 units, Almaty region – 2,869 units.
“At the same time, compared to the same period last year, the number of electric passenger cars has increased by 1.6 times – from 7,383 to 12,119 units.
The largest number of electric vehicles was registered in the following regions: in Almaty - 7,157 units, in Astana - 1,464 units, in Almaty region - 621 units,” the National Statistics Bureau reported.
